Lights and Sound:
I have neglected my concert photography. I had shared music with someone who was very important. But concerts are different now. Not better or worse. Just different. I need too shoot more. I love to get lost in the crowd, jostled around, pushing against the every-present sweaty guy, feeling the bass pound through my body, closing my eyes and singing/screaming the lyrics you know by heart. Or at least singing at the top of your lungs something that sounds similar. I remember being onstage taking pictures for The Academy Is… and Will (the lead singer) came up to me while singing “About a Girl.” I thought knew the words… and he grabbed my hair and we sang into the mic… Even though I didn’t have all the words right, come to find out, the spirit was there and they sure sounded the same…
"Im not in love, This is not your song,
Im not going to waste these words about a girl”
Im not sure who, when or where, but I will shoot a concert soon.
Regrettably, I cannot find the images from that concert, so here are a few from the All American Rejects.
