Cordanation: Sixth Kitchen

A little planning goes a long way, but six years and six kitchens later, we still knocked most of this out in a weekend.

I think that we have cooked more than ever this unique year (2020-2022). The odd thing is that too often we cooked for sustenance instead of enjoyment. This year we wanted to share some meals that we really enjoy making. Some are pretty easy and - well - that might be part of the enjoyment.

Skip to the end of the book, mix a cocktail and find what you’re eating tonight.

Alyson and I cooked and ate a lot of great food when we dated. The kitchen was definitely a special place for us. One month into marriage, Alyson and I wanted to make a cookbook as a Christmas gift. Great idea, but terrible execution. We were living in a tiny attic with a tiny kitchen, zero counter space and a 3/4 sized stove. As it would happen, we ended up cooking and photographing most of the dishes and cocktails in one night, which was quite stressful. In the end, the book was created and it is still a source of humorous head shaking and the vow to do it better…. next time. Five years later, we haven’t made a second edition, but here is Cordanation: First Kitchen.
