Trayvon Martin:
GSU held a “Stand up for Trayvon” rally, I had a fancy for this pic.
Billie:
I was taking the scenic route back to the office, driving along the river on South Grand Street. I saw a person reading the newspaper on their porch and before I could second guess myself, made a sharp turn into their driveway. Mrs. Billie Fuller was just relaxing on her porch with her dog catching up on the local news. We chatted a bit and I found out that she had been an on and off subscriber and had lived in Monroe since the mid 1940s. I took a quick shoot on my camera but really had just wanted to take one on my phone… odd isn’t it. Here are the two images (straight from the cam desaturated and straight from Hipstamatic).
Today the annual crop report for Louisiana was released and so I ventured out into the farmlands of Ouachita Parish to find some farmers at work. I found Tripp Faulk and his farmhand Sidney loading up more corn seeds in hoppers of their tractor. Tripp plans to have his entire crop of corn planted by Sunday.
Rick:

I recently had the chance to photograph two GOP presidential candidates. I wanted to shoot primes like old school photogs… I also shot some film in a really old camera that takes a lot of guess work, just to see if I would be able to catch something interesting. I still have to develop (in a dark room) the film I shot but here is a shot of Rick Santorum. Not a normal shot, but I liked it all the same.

Kristal:
Glad I was able to squeeze this shoot in this busy weekend. Kristal was a great, easy-going model that needed some new photos to audition for a calendar. Best of luck to her!
Bassmaster Classic:
After a very long day, I finally sit down to eat at 11PM on Friday, my phone rings.. its AP. Can I be in Shreveport on the bass boat of the #1 Angler in the world… tomorrow…by 5AM.
Sure.
It was a great opportunity to be a part of the Bassmaster Classic and I learned a lot. I definitely never realized how fast bass boats go (just about 80mph).
I was in the boat of fishing legend Kevin VanDam most of the day and wow, the man can fish like I have never seen. Made it look so easy.
It was a very long day, but it was something that I had never done and I enjoyed it. Here are a few snaps.
